Janae Coleman

Case Manager I, MA in Psychology

I’ve always been deeply passionate about helping people navigate their mental health journeys and find resilience in the face of challenges. Growing up, I witnessed the impact mental health has on families, and that inspired me to pursue a career in the mental health field. I chose to work at Solstice because of the organization’s commitment to fostering a compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based approach to mental health. Solstice's dedication to providing care that emphasizes both the individual and family dynamics aligns with my own values of holistic support and empathy.

Taking care of my own mental and emotional well-being is essential for me to be present for my patients and their families. I practice mindfulness and make sure to maintain a healthy work-life balance by engaging in activities that restore me, like reading, spending time in nature, or connecting with loved ones. I also make time for regular therapy and supervision, which helps me process the work and stay grounded. By prioritizing self-care, I ensure that I can show up with the energy, empathy, and clarity that each patient and their family deserves.

I have a Master's in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and am currently pursuing a Duel Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Education Counseling. My journey in mental health began when I worked as a Therapist and Case Manager at Spectrum Juvenile Detention Center. This experience gave me invaluable insights into the complexities of mental health and the importance of building strong, trusting relationships.

My role models throughout my career have been clinicians and educators who have exemplified empathy, dedication, and a lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. My own background has instilled in me a deep respect for each person's unique experiences and the understanding that healing is a collaborative, ongoing process.

Gabe King

Case Manager I, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

I am originally from Ohio, studied in Illinois, and recently found my home in Texas. It has always fascinated me how the human mind works, and that fascination led me to studying psychology. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I pursued Clinical Mental Health Counseling, ultimately leading me to find Solstice. Since then, I have found my skills growing each day, while working alongside a fantastic group of clinicians.

In my free time, I take care of my physical health by working out and dancing. Each helps me decompress at the end of each week and reset. When focusing on mental self-care, I like to be outside and under the sun, either hiking or looking for a new adventure.
